What We Do

Primarily we arrange a different location each month - sometimes in a new bar, restaurant or hotel that wants to show off to our members, sometimes at an old favourite - for everyone to meet and talk, with no restrictions. There is always plenty of food and drink! We generally keep to an English langauge base, but we do have a good number of Russian members, wives/husbands and guests who conduct their discussions in Russian too. There are also members and visitors from a wide cross-section of other nationalities too.

Although we try to maintain a British atmosphere, all nationalities are welcome. We recognise that, in this world of globalisation, many British companies are now represented by non-British people and vice-versa, and many people have an interest in Britain who are neither British nor work for a British company.

We also organise a number of interesting and fun activities throughout the year. We hold an annual summer-time boat trip on the Moscow river. We participate with St. Andrew's Church to organise a traditional village fete. Being a British club, we mark each of the national days of St. David, St. George and St. Andrew with a special themed event in the relevant month. We also put on the popular Trafalgar Ball in October.

In addition, the BBC participates in other national business clubs and associations, and we hold joint events to help introduce people and companies from other countries.

We also hold events focusing on particular business issues of interest to our members.
