Inclusive Theatre "Taganka Shed" is a partnership project of the Taganka Children’s Fund and the London-based Theatre Company Chickenshed.
The inclusive theatre philosophy is based on the theatre being open to everyone interested in the creative process and self-expression, irrespective of physical state or social background.
One of the main objectives of “Taganka Shed” is to involve children and young people with disabilities into the creative process to lessen their social isolation. We want to remove the barrier between them and their mainstream peers and to teach them all to work together creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.
We are children and adults,
Dreamers and realists,
Each of us can achieve a lot,
But together we can do everything!
We don’t play professionals,
Our theatre is based on the ideas
Of each participant.
We are open to everything new
And learn from each other.
We praise the beauty
Which we create together!
And together we make magic!!!
Theatre lessons are held twice per week.
